Dear All

 

Following the hugely enjoyable and successful Stag Dinner I thought I would advise where we were with our current fund raising drive.

 

£10,000 profit  was raised from ticket sales, auction and heads & tails but this was blown away by the generosity from a certain Theo Paphitis! I'm still trying to take it all in! The amazing gesture of his £25,000 donation basically gets us to our short term £50,000 target.

 

So where does that leave us overall? Simply the £400,000 is pretty well secured, which is a great relief however without pouring any cold water on the amazing achievement there are 2 points to take onboard. Firstly the £400k does include a LOAN from the ECB of £35,000 and secondly there are many things on our 'WISH' list which would really finish off the new development to a standard we would be incredibly proud of.

 

So the message is ...... thank you THEO but as a CLUB we will keep going. Angus and I would like to see a further £25,000 raised over March and April to spend on the WISH list and maybe even reduce our loan commitment.

 

Please please make every effort to keep the momentum going. Even last night a Member gave me a further £2,000 toward the fund so already our target is reduced to £23,000. Let's make it happen.
