Welcome to the Chipstead Coulsdon Walcountians Colts section.
Undoubtedly, the long term future of any cricket club is dependant on running a successful colts section, and at CCWCC, we try to do just that.
Currently, we coach boys and girls from age 8 to 16 from 6.15pm onwards on Friday evenings (from late-April until mid-August) at our picturesque ground at High Road, Chipstead.
During 2010, we fielded sides in the East Surrey League and Cup at U9, U10, U11. U14, U15 and U16 level.
The highlight of the season was a thrilling win from the last ball of the last match of the U14’s season, when a scrambled leg bye got the win they needed to secure the League title. Truly a dramatic finish to a fantastic season. Hopefully they can build on this success, as well as put in valuable performances for the adult sides, for which a number of these talented players are already performing on a regular basis
Thoughts have already turned to 2011 and late April, when it will all begin once more. This season we will have the impressive new clubhouse and excellent new nets available from ball one, and hopefully the weather will be kind enough on Friday evenings and match days.
We have several Grade 2 qualified coaches, as well as others currently working towards their qualifications. Through the "Chance to Shine" program, they also attend several local schools, coaching children who may not have had the opportunity to play before.
CCWCC are always open to new members, so if your child wishes to come along, please feel free to turn up.
Of course we would also welcome coaches and players
